Who you work with

These terms are between you and me, Jooneyd, working as Authoroute. I design and prepare your book myself: the person on your call is the person who works on your book.

Your price

Prices on this site are starting prices in US dollars. Your exact price comes on the free consultation call or in a written quote, before you pay anything. The free call has no obligation.

Paying

You pay in two halves, the second only after you approve your book. Pay by bank transfer in US dollars, British pounds, euros, Canadian or Australian dollars, from your own country. I explain how on the free call. Other currencies on this site are a guide only.

Samples and changes

You see sample pages first, usually within 3 to 7 days. For a cover, you see 2 or 3 ideas, pick one, and you get unlimited revisions until you are happy. For a picture book, you see your characters and every sketch before the final art. Every package includes unlimited revisions until you are happy, and you get the source files of your design.

Timing

The time a book takes depends on the book, so we agree it on the call. If you have a launch date, we plan back from it. The whole book usually takes about 3 weeks up to 120 pages, 5 weeks up to 350, 6 weeks up to 550 and 8 weeks for longer books, counted from the day I have your final manuscript. With rush (+$200), your book goes first in my queue and is ready in about half the usual time: about 1 week instead of 3 for books up to 120 pages, 2 instead of 5 up to 350, 3 instead of 6 up to 550, and 4 instead of 8 for longer books. Longer books take longer because every page is set and checked by hand, and you read it all before it is final. Nothing is skipped: you still see sample pages first, and you get unlimited revisions until you are happy.

Your book stays yours

Your manuscript, your book and your royalties are yours. Your book is published on your own account. The finished cover and files are yours to use on every store, in ads and on social media.

What you send me

Please send only text, images and other material you have the right to use in your book.

The stores

I prepare your files to the published rules of each store you choose: Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu and Draft2Digital. Each store reviews and approves books itself.

Privacy

Your manuscript and files stay private and are used only for your book. More on the privacy page.
